The Community of Coroma in Alta Talamanca Needs Your Help to Keep their school open!
En Coroma hay aproximadamente 2000 personas. Exiten una escuela primaria, un colegio que se abrió hace 2 años, un comedor rústico para cada centro educativo, una delegación de policía, y un lugar en el que se quiere abrir un centro de salud (EBAIS). Todos estos lugares mencionados anteriormente serán cerrados por el Ministerio de Salud si no se abastecen con agua.

DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR MANZANILLO-GANDOCA WILDLIFE REFUGE
A meeting was held in Manzanillo on October 18th to present the agreement between MINAET (the Ministry of the Environment, Energy, and Telecommunications) and the Municipal Government of Talamanca on their plans to co-manage the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. Stop by either the MINAET offices, the Municipality in BriBri, or talk to the Development Association in Manzanillo to see a copy of their agreement. They have plans to open an office (una ventanilla unica) to assist land owners in obtaining permissions on November 3rd in BriBri.
