Mike Barry, biologist and all around good guy, is conducting the annual official crocodile and caiman count in the Río Carbón, the Gandoca Laguna, the lagunas at the mouth of the Sixaola River.

Mike, part time Black Beacher and part time Floridian, is also seeking folks who live near rivers, who want to learn how to do more consistent monitoring of crocodile populations, which helps with measuring effects of development on wildlife populations. He says, "all you really need to lend a hand is a good flash light and a good nap" the afternoon before you go looking. Write to Mike!

Tamiben están buscando a vecinos que viven cerca de rios y criques que quieren aprender hacer monitereo de los cocodrilos.
