Strike Up the Band!

A Belle Lyre is one of the instruments sought for the school kidsThe patronato—or parent’s board—of the Puerto Viejo School is having a drive to restock the supply of band instruments for the talented youth of Puerto Viejo.

Here’s the list of the band instruments needed:

10 of each size of.
Tambores or Drums
Sizes #10, #12, #14, #22, #24
 
2 bongos –bongo drums
 
5 bajos - bass drums.
 
10-30 pair of bollios plasticos—drums sticks
 
10 platillos regular – normal sized cymbals
4 platillos Pequeños –small sized cymbals
 
12 liras –Bell lyre, which is kind of like a hand held version of a xylophone used in marching bands.
 

25 Fajas—belts to hold up the lyre or the drums.

Clarines – clarinet

Coronet—bugles
Any other band instrument would be a great gift to the school kids.
