Saludos de parte de ReciCaribe. Les informamos que en los últimos meses hemos estado afectados por una reducción de 75% en los precios de algunos de los desechos reciclables. Previamente, las ventas de los desechos pagaban la mayoridad de los gastos operativos, con donaciones subsidiando lo demás. Ahora, las ventas no cubren ni la mitad de los gastos, y tenemos 5 salarios atrasados más que un mes por lo mismo. No queremos tener que dejar de brindar el servicio de reciclaje, pero no podemos seguir pidiendo a nuestros empleados que trabajen sin pago. Esperamos contar con el apoyo de los usuarios en este periodo de crisis, mientras buscamos otras formas de subsidiar esta actividad tan importante para el bienestar ambiental del Caribe Sur. ¿Como puede ayudar?

* Subir su donación mensual o hacer una donación mas grande este mes
* Acopiar sus reciclables mas tiempo mientras nuestro servicio de recolección es tan irregular
* Reportar las necesidades de servicio con paciencia al 2750-8181
* Comparte con sus vecinos la importancia de reciclar aunque no este siempre conveniente

Agradecemos mucho su apoyo, lo cual nos hace posible continuar reducir la contaminación por desechos sólidos en este lindo cantón de Talamanca.

ReciCaribe tiene su asemblea general en marzo. Por favor involucrarse en la asocación, necesitamos gente con un poco tiempo y mucha energia para participar.

Dear Friend to Recycling,

We would like to inform you that in the past few months we have been deeply affected by a 75% reduction in the sales prices for certain recyclable waste that we collect. Previously, these sales covered the majority of our operating costs, with donations subsidizing the rest. Now, the sale of the waste we recycle does not cover even half of our costs, which has lead us to be over a month behind in the payment of salaries to five of our employees. We do not want to terminate our recycling service, but at the same time we do not want to continue to ask our employees to work without pay. We hope we can count on your support in this time of crisis, while we look into other forms of subsidizing this activity which is so crucial to the environmental health of the South Caribbean. How can you help?

* Increase your monthly donation or make an extra large donation this month
* Store your recyclables as long as you can meanwhile our collection service is so irregular
* Let us know when you really need to have us come pick up, with patience, at 2750-8181
* Spread the word about the importance of recycling, even when it is not totally convenient

We are extremely thankful for your support, which makes it possible for us to continue battling solid waste contamination of our beautiful Talamanca.
