Congo Bongo is located 4 hours south east of San Jose in the Gandoca Manzanillo wildlife refuge at the Caribbean coast. On our property of 13 acre we have many flowers, fruit and giant Rainforest trees.
We have a private walkway to the quiet, unspoiled beach, featuring the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. The best snorkeling in the area can be found right offshore. The sea water is safe and no riptide or dangerous coral reefs are reported.
Agreat diversity of species, many only locally sited, endemic to this area: crocodiles, alligators, otters, wild bores, ocelots, pumas, pacas, sloths, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, white-throated capuchin monkeys, and numerous other species of birds, reptiles and amphibians.
Big House
Has two floors. It has a surface of 105 sq. meters and can keep up to 6 persons. Fresh linens and towels will be provided and soaps are included.
Palm House
The Palm house has two floors and has a palm leaves roof. It has a surface of 85 sq. meters and can keep up to 5 persons.It has a beautiful nature view on the tropical gardens. It gives a lot of privacy and comfort.
Root House
The Root house has one floor. It has a surface of 75 sq. meters and can keep up to 4 persons. The terrace has a hammock, rocking chairs and a big porch.
River House
The River house has two floors. And has a river next to the house. It has a surface of 120 sq. meters and can keep up to 7 persons.
Long House
The Long house is located 400 meters from the nice white sandy Caribbean beaches and is surrounded by beautiful tropical rainforest. It has one floor . It has a surface of 98 sq.meters and can keep up to 6 persons.
Dream House
The Dream House has one floor. It has a surface of 75 sq. meters and can keep up to 3 persons. It has a beautiful nature view on the tropical gardens.
In Congo Bongo we're always thinking about the planet, that's why we have a glass and plastic recycling program, we compost the wastes from fruits and vegetables and we also use led lights. We want to keep our planet GREEN!
