Chimuri Beach Cottages
Looking for lonely, palm fringed,
sandy beaches? ...a romantic hideaway for two? ... or a quiet place
to share with family or friends?

Tucked in between tropical flowers in a big patio
against a background of lush tropical vegetation and right in front of the
Caribbean Sea are the Chimuri Beach Cottages. Away from everything and still
only a 20 minute stroll along the beach to the village with its restaurants,
shops, bars, etc.
This beach cottage (#1), at right (click
image for interior view), is the smallest one, equipped with a double bed, a
dining area, a kitchenette with a small fridge, electric stove, pots, dishes
and kitchen sink, a bathroom with warm-water shower, and a porch with hammock.
Beach cottage #2, left, features two floors. Upstairs
is a sleeping room with a queen-size bed (can be separated into two twin beds
if needed) and a small porch with hammock. Downstairs has an equipped kitchen
with fridge, gas stove, pots, dishes and kitchen sink, dining area, bathroom
with warm-water shower and a spacious porch. There is also an additional twin
bed.
The third cottage, right (click image for interior view), features
two sleeping rooms upstairs, one with a double bed and the other one with two
twin beds; downstairs we have a kitchen equipped with a fridge, a gas stove,
kitchen sink, dishes and pots and a spacious semi-open living room/ porch with
dining area and hammock and a bathroom with warm-water shower.
All three beach houses are built in typical Caribbean style in tropical hard wood, painted in lively colors with white "ginger bread" trimmings. We are located right on Puerto Viejo's magical black sand beach about 1.5 km from the village center. Close by is a store for basic provisions. We like to maintain a private and a tranquil atmosphere.
Only about a 10 minute walk up the beach begins the wetland area Río Carbón which stretches all the way up to the border of Cahuita National Park, another 30 minute walk, as its buffer zone and a birder’s paradise.
All cottages feature wall fans, mosquito nets and wireless high speed Internet access.
